SHIPPER
Position Summary
Loanhouse is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and technology-driven Mortgage Shipper to prepare and deliver complete residential Non-QM loan files to investors, custodians, warehouse providers, and other designated parties.
This individual will ensure that loan packages are complete, properly organized, accurately transmitted, and delivered within required timelines. The Mortgage Shipper will also track deliveries, monitor outstanding conditions, and help resolve document deficiencies that could delay loan purchases.
The ideal candidate understands that accurate and timely loan delivery directly affects investor confidence, warehouse-line availability, company liquidity, and overall financial performance.
The Opportunity
As a Loanhouse Shipper, you will play a critical role in moving funded loans through the final stages of the secondary-market process. Your work will help ensure that each investor receives a complete, accurate, and purchase-ready loan file.
You will also help us enhance LOiS by developing AI-supported document inventories, investor delivery checklists, package validation, status tracking, and exception-management workflows.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare complete electronic and physical loan packages for delivery to investors, custodians, warehouse providers, due-diligence firms, and other designated parties.
• Review investor delivery requirements and assemble documents in the required format and stacking order.
• Confirm that all required credit, underwriting, compliance, closing, funding, collateral, and post-closing documents are included.
• Validate that electronic loan data is consistent with the documentation contained in the delivery package.
• Upload loan files and supporting data through investor portals, secure delivery platforms, or other approved systems.
• Prepare and transmit required loan schedules, certifications, checklists, transmittals, and delivery confirmations.
• Coordinate the shipment of original notes, allonges, assignments, powers of attorney, and other collateral documents to approved custodians.
• Track electronic and physical deliveries and confirm receipt by the intended party.
• Monitor investor portals and communications for suspense items, missing documents, or purchase conditions.
• Coordinate with post-closing, secondary marketing, accounting, closing, funding, compliance, title companies, and other parties to resolve delivery deficiencies.
• Maintain accurate shipment dates, package contents, tracking information, investor statuses, conditions, notes, and supporting documentation within LOiS.
• Escalate loans at risk of delayed delivery, purchase, or warehouse curtailment.
• Protect confidential borrower and loan information by following all security and document-handling requirements.
How You Will Help Us Innovate
• Help define investor-specific document requirements, stacking orders, data fields, delivery formats, and package-completion rules within LOiS.
• Evaluate AI-generated document inventories and package-readiness findings for accuracy and completeness.
• Help develop intelligent workflows that identify missing documents, inconsistent data, incorrect file versions, and unresolved delivery conditions.
• Recommend automated tracking, reminders, status updates, and escalation protocols for time-sensitive shipments.
• Identify recurring investor suspenses and delivery defects and recommend improvements to upstream processes.
• Provide subject-matter feedback that improves AI-supported loan classification, document indexing, package assembly, and investor delivery.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this position means delivering complete and accurate loan packages on time, minimizing investor suspenses, and helping loans move quickly from funding to purchase.
Performance may be measured through delivery turn times, package-completeness rates, shipping accuracy, investor suspense rates, condition-resolution times, collateral-delivery compliance, data accuracy, warehouse dwell time, and preventable purchase delays.
Qualifications
• Experience in mortgage shipping, post-closing, document control, loan delivery, or a closely related mortgage operations function.
• Knowledge of mortgage loan documents, collateral files, investor delivery requirements, and secure document-transmission procedures.
• Experience with wholesale, correspondent, Non-QM, or secondary-market loan delivery is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with investor portals, document custodians, original collateral, shipping carriers, and tracking procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple loans, deadlines, delivery methods, and investor requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to document completeness, data integrity, and confidentiality.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort working with mortgage technology, document-management systems, investor portals, automated workflows, and AI-assisted document reviews.
• A dependable, accountable, proactive, and deadline-oriented approach to work.
